How do I install the WPC Decking?
Installation is quite simple and only requires basic tools like an electric drill, clips, and screws. Generally, two people can complete about 50 square meters of decking quickly.
Why is a keel necessary for installation?
Keels ensure a flat surface and allow for proper drainage. Since WPC is used outdoors, raising the boards off the ground helps control water runoff and prevents structural issues.
Is the maintenance difficult?
No, compared to traditional wood, it requires very little maintenance. Regular cleaning with soapy water and a hard brush is enough to keep it looking new.
Do the colors fade over time?
WPC materials are highly UV resistant. While prolonged exposure affects all materials, co-extruded composite decking is the best in the industry at resisting fading.
What is the load-bearing strength of the decking?
The density is approximately 1300-1400kg/cbm. With a keel spacing of 35cm, the hollow boards can bear 320kg, while solid boards can bear 400kg-500kg.
Can I replace just one broken board?
Yes. You only need to break the clips on both sides of the damaged board to remove it and slide a new one in. You do not need to remove the entire deck.
